The Shops
This ain’t no strip mall. Rossland is a real-deal, Kootenays town, far from the city and filled with stores you literally can’t find anywhere else.
This is the real deal with many boutique experiences that you can’t find anywhere else on earth.
Dining in Rossland
When Josie’s not dining at The Velvet Restaurant and Lounge she’s soaking up Rossland’s tasty culinary scene in town. From burgers and craft beer to more upscale fare, this modest town defies small-town expectations.
Rafters at RED Mountain Resort
A classic ski bar known far beyond Rossland’s norders, Rafters is the quintessential après hang out, filled with nostalgia from RED’s rich past. Located across from The Josie on the third level of the day lodge at RED Resort, Rafters is après for everyone.
The Flying Steamshovel
The Shovel—as the locals call it—offers tasty fare, cold beer, a game of pool or the infamous Kootenays game of Neglin. Be warned, if you lose you’ll buy a round for the house. It’ll be worth it.
Rossland Beer Company
From crisp pale ales to smooth milk stouts and bitter-but-balanced IPAs, Josie likes good craft beer. Located in downtown Rossland the Rossland Beer Company is the place to pull up a stool and mingle with the locals. They may even spill their favorite ski runs.
